Our bio-medical mixed signal ICs generate a lot of data which is either stored on a memory or streamed out to a PC for testing, debugging and for applications in the field. For this purpose we would like to improve our PC app/GUI. Up to now, a simple UART was used to stream the data and MATLAB was used to plot. However, this limits the data rate and is not very stable. Our newest hardware platform supports USB capability which shall be used to solve this issue. For the GUI, we are open for solutions/suggestions of interested students (QT is recommended).
The work either consists of either embedded software/USB stack implementation (working examples available) or PC programming in QT (C++) for the GUI. For a group work, both can be possible simultaneously.
